Nice decorative antique turned hardwood newel post. The newel post is in a worn dark varnished finish.  Has a removable to. The center cap or final top is missing. The cap is notched for a top handrail.  It is a salvaged piece so expect to find cut nails, nail holes, and small chunks missing. scuffs and scratches. There is a notch on the bottom.
