Nice antique newel post. Does have old lite chocolate brown paint. The paint is missing where the rail was attached to.  Nice simple newel post with a nice Urn  top finial. It is a salvaged piece so expect to find nails, nail holes, and small chunks missing. scuffs and scratches. The post is hollow. Overall good solid condition.
